Terms of service

The agreement for using SovEU. Plain-English summaries head each section; for a signed order or DPA, contact us.

Acceptance

By creating a SovEU account or using our products you agree to these terms. If you are using SovEU for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept them on its behalf.

The service

SovEU provides software for forms, compliance records, casework and operational monitoring. We may improve and change features over time; we will not materially reduce a paid capability without notice.

Your account & responsibilities

Keep your sign-in credentials secure and use SovEU lawfully. You are responsible for what your users do under your account and for having a lawful basis for the personal data you put into the service.

Your data & ownership

Your data is yours. We process it to provide the service, as your processor under our data-processing agreement, and we do not sell it or use it to train public AI models. You can export your data at any time. How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Do not use SovEU to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload malware, attempt to breach our security, or resell the service without agreement. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.

AI features

AI assist is optional and advisory. It drafts, extracts and retrieves; it does not make compliance decisions, and its output is not guaranteed to be complete or legally correct — a person must review it. Details are in how we use AI.

Not legal advice

SovEU is software, not a law firm. The product, its guidance and these terms are not a substitute for professional legal advice. You remain responsible for your own compliance decisions.

Availability

We work to keep SovEU available and publish live status for our own services, but we do not promise uninterrupted service unless a specific uptime commitment is set out in your order. The service is provided “as is” to the extent the law allows.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the prior twelve months.

Termination & export

You can stop using SovEU and close your account at any time, and export your data first. We may end the agreement for material breach. After termination we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except records we must keep by law.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms; we will change the date above and tell account holders of material changes. Governing law and any specific commercial terms are set out in your order or available on request. Questions: hello@soveu.io (or privacy@soveu.io for data matters).
